Sinners are justified — declared righteous before God — by faith in Christ apart from works of the law. Faith itself does not earn our standing; it rests upon Christ, whose obedience and death are credited to us.

1 Timothy 2:5

Christ is the only mediator between God and man. His life, death, resurrection, and intercession are complete, and nothing needs to be added to them. We come to the Father through him alone.
